These Batwa people were local hunters and gathers who migrated from Ituri forest of Democratic Republic of Congo in search of Wild animals for hunting since they were feeding mostly on bush meat and used tree leaves, grass as their local medicine, big tree branches and caves for shelter.
After migration of these Batwa people from Ituri forest some of them settled in the western part of Uganda near National Parks like Bwindi impenetrable National Park, Mgahinga gorilla National Park, Semliki, Lake Mburo and Rwenzori Mountains National Park, other groups of Batwa people settled in Rwanda near Volcanoes National Park.
The Famous Maasai people are found both in Kenya and Tanzania mostly found in the Mara region, Kenya’s biggest and popular destination to visit was named “Maasai Mara National Reserve” in honor of these Maasai people.
Maasai people mostly are cattle keepers like the Karamojong who are found in the Northern region of Uganda, these Maasai people are more talented in designing different cultural wears which include necklaces, beads, sandals, and more.
